Voucher Plan

Merchant Terms and Conditions

Last revised on 22 November 2023

Voucherplan is owned and managed by Dineplan (Pty) Ltd. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, Voucherplan and Dineplan refer to the same legal entity. These Terms and Conditions should be read in conjunction with Dineplan’s Proprietor Terms and Conditions, found here and Dineplan’s Privacy Policy found here.

As a Dineplan restaurant partner who has opted-in to accepting Dineplan vouchers, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions can be updated from time to time so we encourage you to check these periodically to stay up to date. By using Dineplan and the related Voucherplan software you acknowledge and accept these Terms of Service.

Dineplan vouchers can be purchased with any value, up to a maximum of R5000.

Dineplan vouchers can be redeemed in full, or part-redeemed.

There is a minimum redemption amount of R50 per redemption.

A restaurant must deduct the full redeemed amount from the guest’s bill. No admin or any other charges may be deducted from the redeemed amount.

Should a restaurant not manage, or redeem their vouchers correctly, or for any other reason deemed necessary by Dineplan, Dineplan reserves the right to remove that restaurant from Voucherplan and the voucher opted-in list from Dineplan.

When redeeming a voucher, a guest must present their Dineplan voucher to the restaurant, either printed or on their mobile device. The restaurant can redeem the voucher in their Voucherplan account using the QR code, or from within their Dineplan account using the Voucher Reference and Secret Code.

It is extremely important that a voucher is redeemed correctly by the restaurant, and at the time the voucher is presented by the guest. Dineplan can only pay the restaurant the redeemed amount if the voucher is redeemed in Dineplan or Voucherplan. Dineplan cannot be held responsible for any loss, fraud or any other negative outcomes due to a voucher not being redeemed correctly in Dineplan or Voucherplan.

As a Dineplan restaurant partner who has opted-in to accepting Dineplan vouchers, you also agree to the following:

  • To always accept any valid Dineplan voucher presented by a guest and remove the redeemed amount from the guest's bill.
  • To ensure that all your staff serving guests are aware of Dineplan vouchers and what to do should they be presented with a Dineplan voucher by a guest.
  • To ensure that at all times there is a staff member on duty who knows how to redeem a Dineplan voucher in Dineplan or Voucherplan.

Voucher values are paid to the restaurant after redemption. Dineplan pays out all redeemed voucher amounts to a restaurant, net of any applicable fees, every Friday, or next business day if a Friday falls on a public holiday. Dineplan will send a ‘Voucher payout email’ to the restaurant detailing the vouchers that have been redeemed, and the subsequent amount that will settle into the restaurant’s bank account. The Voucher Payout Email also confirms the bank details that the amount will settle into.

It is the restaurant’s responsibility to ensure that Dineplan has the correct bank details where voucher redemptions should be paid to. A restaurant must complete a ‘Voucherplan Proprietor Form’ which confirms the restaurant’s bank details. Should a restaurant’s bank details change, they must inform Dineplan immediately, and complete a ‘Change of Bank Account Details’ form. It remains the restaurant’s responsibility to ensure that Dineplan has received their new bank details and updated them as such.
